Electrolysis

Electrolysis essentially works by disrupting the hair growth, using a process where a tiny probe (similar to a very fine needle) is carefully inserted into the hair follicle, and a momentary amount of heat is applied. The procedure damages your hair follicle to prevent growth and causes existing hairs to fall out. Each hair may need to be treated more than once due to its growth cycle, however good results can often be seen after the first couple of treatments.

The most common areas are the face, nipples, tummy and bikini line but any areas if suitable can be treated with Electrolysis. Speak to our therapists to see if Electrolysis or laser would be best for your hair.

Electrolysis is prices on time and not treatment area as it can hugely vary the amount of hair follicles in the one area. If in doubt we recommend booking 30 minutes of time with your therapist for your first treatment to make a thorough start then your therapist can advise you after this.

For clients with larger areas of strong, thick, dark brown/ black hair, we recommend treating it with IPL. However, if you have a smaller area or the hair lacks pigment (white, grey and red) then Electrolysis is best for you. Electrolysis is also more flexible with treatment on areas that are regularly exposed to the sunshine i.e. face.
